Junior Business Developer

Etpa – The Company

Etpa is a designated European Power Exchange for the short-term electricity market. Our state-of-the-art platform is a key enabler for the transition to renewable energy. We provide access to the spot-trading markets for many new players including battery companies, energy management systems, asset owners, and utility companies.

Our current portfolio of exchanges includes Intraday (XBID), Congestion management (GOPACS), and day-after trading (EX-Post). We are rapidly expanding our geography and products, introducing XBID to Germany, Austria, and Belgium this year.

Your Role

As a Junior Business Developer, you will join Etpa’s fast-growing international business team. You will work on various marketing and sales projects, gaining invaluable experience while contributing to the company’s growth. Your responsibilities will include:

  • Monitoring trends in the power market to inform strategic decisions.
  • Collecting and analyzing data to support business initiatives.
  • Identifying potential sales opportunities from multiple sources.

You will also leverage insights from economics, technology, and policy to enhance product marketing and contribute to academic content for our website.

Who are we looking for?

  • A master’s degree in engineering, economics, or business, preferably at the intersection of business and (energy) engineering. Relevant fields of study include, but are not limited to: Energy Science, Systems Engineering Policy Analysis and Management (energy track), Sustainable Energy Technology, and Business Analytics.
  • 0 to 2 years of work experience; experience in business development or the electricity market is a plus.
  • A connection to the Netherlands through living, studying, or another personal link.
  • A valid work permit for the European Union.
  • An analytical mindset and a proactive approach
  • Interest in the energy (transition) sector is essential.
